The Hyden Leadership Baseball Scholarship

The purpose of the Hyden Leadership Baseball Scholarship fund is to establish a fund to provide an annual scholarship of $1,000 to support a student(s) participating in baseball based on the following criteria:
1. The scholarship shall be awarded for the first time in Academic Year 2026-27 2. The scholarship shall be awarded in equal amounts per academic term. 3. The scholarship shall be awarded each academic year thereafter if funds are in the account by October 1st of the prior year. 4. The scholarship is non-renewable and may be awarded to a different student each year. 5. The scholarship shall be awarded on an annual basis as long as sufficient funds remain in the account. If the fund balance is less than the amount of full award, then no award is made and the balance is carried over to the following year. 6. Any fund balance remaining at the end of the fiscal year shall be carried over to the following year.

The student scholarship recipient will be selected by the head baseball coach, who is responsible for publicizing the scholarship, developing a selection process, collecting applications from interested students (if appropriate), and keeping the recipient, scholarship officer, and foundation fully informed.
