The Indigenous Students in Psychology Training Program (InPsyT) Endowed Scholarship

Scholarship for students participating in InPsyT. Must meet the following criteria:
1. Meet the University’s Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements and cannot be in default or owe any refunds/payments of federal, state, or institutional aid
2. Have a financial need as determined by the FAFSA and the BSU Office of Financial Aid
3. Providing a scholarship to a student who has American Indian ancestry with preference given to a student from the Roseau or Warroad area. This can be for a student in any year in the InPsyT program, and if they InPsyT program is no longer in service, another major
4. The recipient of this award must be a full-time student with American Indian ancestry, preferably from the Roseau or Warroad area or another Northern MN town. This can be an initial award or recurring for the same student with a GPA over 3.0 in the InPsyT program.
5. Submit an essay of no more than 500 words that follows the prompt: “Tell us why you should receive the Indigenous Students in Psychology Training Program (InPsyT) scholarship? What do you plan to do upon graduation?”
6. Preference for a student from Roseau or Warroad, Minnesota
Recipient(s) shall be selected by a scholarship committee consisting of at least two faculty or staff from the University’s Department of Psychology using the University’s current selection tool.
